Day 1: INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT – ANTANANARIVO – ANDASIBE
On arrival at the airport, you will be met by a MISTINJO TRAVEL AGENCY tour guide. You will receive a briefing on your tour and then begin your 3-hour road transfer to Andasibe when you can find the INDRI (The biggest lemur in the island).
You will stop at Peyreiras Reptiles Park to see farmed chameleons and other reptile species on this national road.
Overnight at the hotel on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 2: Andasibe National Park
After breakfast, you will go on a 3- to 4-hour hike in MNP (Madagascar National Park
After the hike, visit Andasibe village, a typical Betsimisaraka (“the many inseparable”) village, the second-largest ethnic group in Madagascar. The people are farmers in general.
Later, visit the private Vakona Park, known as the “Lemur Island,” which is one of the best places to photograph lemurs.

Day 3: ANDASIBE – MANAMBATO – AKANIN’NY NOFY
After an early breakfast, you will take a 2- to 3-hour road transfer to Manambato.
Continue along a dirt road to Manambato, where you will board a boat for a 1-hour transfer to Akanin’ny Nofy. You will cross Lake Rasoabe and then the Pangalanes Canal, built during the colonial period for commercial purposes.
Overnight at the hotel on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 4: AKANIN’NY NOFY – Tamatave (Boat)
After breakfast, visit the Palmarium Private Reserve. The bungalows where you will stay are located inside the park, allowing close contact with lemurs.
The Palmarium Reserve is home to seven species of lemurs, including the Indri Indri, as well as many reptiles, especially chameleons. The flora is also remarkable, with palm gardens, orchids, and vanilla plants.
In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour boat transfer to Tamatave along the Pangalanes Canal. During this mini-cruise, observe daily life along the canal, including villagers navigating bamboo pirogues.
Arrival in Tamatave and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: TAMATAVE – Sainte Marie (Domestic Flight)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for your flight to Sainte Marie. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred by road to your hotel.
With beautiful beaches and scenic coves, Sainte-Marie is one of Madagascar’s most popular destinations. For those seeking tranquility and natural beauty, it is also one of the best places to watch migrating whales from July to October.
Overnight at the hotel on a dinner, bed, and breakfast basis.
Days 6–7: SAINTE MARIE
The next two days are at leisure in Sainte-Marie. Many excursions are available locally, including snorkeling or diving near the small island of Île aux Nattes.
With lush tropical vegetation, Sainte-Marie is also ideal for walking or cycling. Interesting sights include Ambodifotatra, Baie des Forbans, the Catholic church built in 1837, and the Pirates’ Cemetery, marking the European presence on the island.
The local population is well known for its kindness and hospitality.

Day 8: SAINTE MARIE – ANTANANARIVO (Domestic Flight)
After your final breakfast in Madagascar, you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight back to Antananarivo.
Depending on your international flight schedule, you may have day-use at the hotel before being transferred to the airport for your onward international departure.

Day 1 – Antananarivo to Antsirabe
Starting point from Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, heading south toward Antsirabe, a charming colonial town located in the Malagasy Highlands.
On the way, stop in Ambatolampy to visit a traditional workshop where aluminum cooking pots are handmade using recycled materials.
Upon arrival in Antsirabe:
· Visit a zebu horn craft workshop
· Discover the historic thermal railway station
· Enjoy a city tour by pousse-pousse (rickshaw)

Day 2 – Antsirabe to Fianarantsoa
Continue the journey south toward Fianarantsoa, the cultural capital of the Betsileo region.
Along the way, visit a wood carving workshop and admire the beautiful landscapes of rice terraces and traditional villages.
Enjoy lunch with a local family while discovering Malagasy culture and traditional dances.

Day 3 – Fianarantsoa to Ranohira
Departure toward Ranohira, the gateway to Isalo National Park.
On the way, visit a traditional Antemoro paper workshop and the Soa Landy silk workshop, where visitors can learn about traditional Malagasy craftsmanship.
Stop at Anja Community Reserve, where many ring-tailed lemurs live freely among impressive granite formations.

Day 4 – Exploration of Isalo National Park
Full day dedicated to discovering Isalo National Park, one of Madagascar’s most famous natural attractions.
Enjoy a guided trek through spectacular sandstone landscapes including:
• the famous Natural Swimming Pool
• the Blue Pool and Black Pool
• the impressive Isalo CanyonsPicnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, stop at the famous Isalo Window to watch a breathtaking sunset with a valiha instrument.

Day 5 – Ranohira to Mangily (Ifaty)
Departure toward the southwest coast of Madagascar.
During the journey, visit traditional villages and observe the changing landscapes as vegetation becomes increasingly dry.
Lunch with a local family or along the road.
Arrival in Mangily / Ifaty, a peaceful coastal destination.

Day 6 – Reniala Spiny Forest
Visit the famous Reniala Spiny Forest Reserve, one of the most unique ecosystems in Madagascar.

Day 1: Antananarivo – Antsirabe
Journey Through Madagascar’s Highlands
Your Madagascar adventure begins upon arrival in Antananarivo, the capital city located in the central highlands of the island.
After meeting your guide, you will begin the journey toward Antsirabe, following the famous RN7 national road, one of the most scenic routes in Madagascar.
Along the way, you will pass through picturesque landscapes characterized by rice terraces, traditional villages, and Madagascar’s distinctive red soil. Several stops will be made to take photos and discover local culture.
A highlight of the day is a visit to Ambatolampy, a town famous for its traditional aluminum workshops, where artisans handcraft cooking pots using recycled materials.
You will then continue south to Antsirabe, a charming colonial town known for its thermal springs and colorful pousse-pousse rickshaws.

Day 2: Antsirabe – Miandrivazo

Day 3: Miandrivazo – Morondava
Entering the Land of Baobabs
After breakfast, you will continue toward Morondava, located on Madagascar’s west coast.
The road follows vast plains where you will often see herds of zebu cattle, rice fields, and tropical vegetation. Birdlife is abundant in this region, making it a pleasant journey for nature lovers.
As you approach Morondava, the landscape begins to change dramatically. The first baobab trees appear along the road, offering an exciting preview of the famous scenery awaiting you.

Day 4: Morondava – Baobab Avenue
– Kirindy Forest
Sunrise Among Madagascar’s Most Famous Trees
Early in the morning, you will depart to witness the sunrise at Baobab Avenue, one of the most iconic natural attractions in Madagascar.
Towering baobabs line both sides of the sandy road, creating a surreal landscape that attracts photographers from around the world. The warm morning light illuminates the trees and surrounding countryside, offering spectacular photo opportunities.
After this unforgettable moment, the journey continues along a sandy track often used by zebu carts and local villagers.
Around midday, you will arrive at Kirindy Forest Reserve, a protected dry forest known for its remarkable biodiversity.

Day 5: Kirindy Forest – Morondava
Wildlife Exploration in Kirindy Reserve
After breakfast, you will explore Kirindy Forest, one of the best places in Madagascar to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.
The reserve is home to several lemur species, endemic birds, reptiles, and unique plant life. If you are lucky, you may even encounter the fossa, Madagascar’s elusive top predator.
The forest is also known for its different species of baobabs and unique dry forest ecosystems.
After the visit, return to Morondava.
On the way back, you will stop again at Baobab Avenue, this time to admire the legendary sunset, when the sky turns shades of orange and red behind the ancient trees.
This magical moment is considered one of the most beautiful sunsets in Madagascar.

Day 6: Morondava – Fishermen Village
Meeting the Vezo People

You will again pass through villages, savannah landscapes, and agricultural fields, making the journey both relaxing and culturally enriching.

Day 8: Antsirabe – Antananarivo
City Visit and End of the Tour
On the final day of the tour, enjoy a short visit of Antsirabe, including a ride in the famous pousse-pousse, the city’s traditional rickshaw.
After the visit, continue the journey back to Antananarivo, where the tour concludes.
